Varicose Vein Treatment for Streeterville Patients
Dr. Elbaridi treats varicose veins, spider veins, and chronic venous insufficiency at the Streeterville office. Every patient receives a venous duplex ultrasound before treatment is recommended. This maps the diseased segments and confirms the source of reflux before any procedure begins.
Vein Treatments Available
- Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT)
- Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
- VenaSeal
- Sclerotherapy for Spider Veins
- Chronic Venous Insufficiency Treatment
- Venous Ulcer Evaluation and Treatment
Procedures are done in-office in under an hour with no general anesthesia. Most patients return to normal activity the same day or the following morning. If you have leg aching, swelling, or visible varicose veins that have changed over the past year, a vein evaluation is the right next step.
Why Streeterville and Near North Side Patients Come to Loop Medical Center
Most patients arrive having lived with varicose veins for years. They have tried compression stockings, elevation, and lifestyle changes. Some have been told to wait and see. By the time they book an appointment here, the symptoms have gotten worse.
Dr. Elbaridi uses ultrasound to map the diseased veins before recommending any procedure. He identifies exactly which segments are failing and which treatment is appropriate for each patient’s specific anatomy. He performs every ultrasound and every procedure himself.
Varicose veins that are causing symptoms, including leg aching, swelling, skin changes near the ankle, or wounds that are slow to heal, are not a cosmetic issue. They indicate chronic venous insufficiency that advances without treatment. The sooner it is addressed, the simpler the procedure tends to be.

What to Expect at Your First Vein Visit
Your first appointment at Loop Medical Center is an evaluation, not a procedure. Dr. Elbaridi reviews your history and any prior imaging you have. He performs a focused physical examination of the affected legs. He explains what he finds in plain language and walks you through your treatment options before anything is scheduled.
If venous insufficiency is suspected, a duplex ultrasound is ordered to confirm which veins are failing and guide the treatment plan. Most patients leave their first appointment with a clear diagnosis and a specific path forward.
When to Seek Vein Treatment
Varicose veins that are causing leg aching, heaviness, swelling, or skin changes near the ankle are not a cosmetic concern. These symptoms indicate that the valves inside the leg veins are failing and blood is pooling in the lower leg. Without treatment, venous insufficiency progresses and becomes harder to address.
