Meet the Team at Loop Medical Center

Loop Medical Center was built around one principle: every patient sees a specialist who listens first, diagnoses carefully, and recommends only what the case actually calls for.

Dr. Nidal Elbaridi, MD, PT

Founding Physician and Medical Director

Before Dr. Elbaridi was a physician, he was a Licensed Physical Therapist. Before he founded Loop Medical Center, he survived a near-fatal accident. Those two facts shaped everything about how this practice was built. The time he spent as a physical therapist gave him a clinical perspective on pain and recovery that most interventional physicians do not have. The accident gave him something harder to teach: firsthand knowledge of what it feels like to need care and have to trust someone completely to get it right. He went on to complete his Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women's Hospital, an ACGME-accredited program. When he founded Loop Medical Center, he brought that standard into a practice designed around the patient experience he had not always seen in the system he trained in. "My vision to provide safe and effective treatments for my patients became a reality with the founding of Loop Medical Center. Loop Medical Center is now a group of medical practices that follow evolving technology and increased patient demands."

Anesthesiologist & Interventional Pain Physician

Dr. Patel is a anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained pain medicine physician. He completed his training at the University of Illinois at Chicago and John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. His approach starts with the diagnosis. He uses minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to treat the source of pain rather than covering it. Treatment plans are built around each patient's specific history, imaging, and goals.
Areas of Focus: Sciatica, herniated discs, joint and spinal pain, and neuropathic conditions. Procedures include nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation.
