Vein clinic

Varicose veins, spider veins and venous insufficiency

Non-surgical treatment for varicose veins, spider veins, and chronic venous insufficiency. Most procedures take under an hour, and patients typically return to normal activities within a day.

Diagnosis begins with a duplex vascular ultrasound, which identifies which vessels have valve failure and shows whether the problem starts in the deep or superficial venous system. Dr. Elbaridi reviews the results personally.

Every varicose vein treatment at Loop Medical Center is non-surgical: endovenous laser ablation (EVLT), radiofrequency ablation, VenaSeal, Varithena and sclerotherapy. Surface varicose veins not suited to ablation are removed by microphlebectomy.

For your office

Primary care

Back, neck, nerve and joint pain, spine conditions, and varicose vein disease. Most PPO plans allow patients to schedule directly with a specialist. HMO plans sometimes require a primary care referral first.

Podiatry

Swelling in the ankles or feet by day’s end, and skin discoloration or thickening near the ankles, are common symptoms of varicose veins. We also treat peripheral neuropathy.

Wound care

Leg ulcers or slow-healing wounds are among the common symptoms of varicose veins. Diagnosis begins with a duplex vascular ultrasound.

OB/GYN

Pregnancy is a common trigger for varicose veins: hormonal changes and increased blood volume stretch blood vessels.
