Positive result on test for COVID-19
What should you do if you are tested positive for COVID-19?
Everyone, regardless of vaccination status.
- You should stay at your home for 5 days.
- If you’re not experiencing symptoms, or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house.
- You should continue to wear a mask around others for 5 more days.
If you are feeling sick or if you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves.
What should you do if you are exposed to someone with COVID-19?
If you:
Have been boosted with the third dose of Vaccine.
OR
Have completed the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine within the last 6 months
OR
Have completed the primary series of Johnson & Johnson within the last 2 months
- You must wear a mask around others for 10 days.
- If possible, get tested on day 5.
If you are experiencing any symptoms, get tested and stay at home.
If you:
Are unvaccinated
OR
Have completed the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine within the last 6 months and you are not boosted
OR
Have completed the primary series of Johnson & Johnson within the last 2 months and you are not boosted
- You should stay at your home for 5 days. After this period, continue to wear a mask around others for 5 more days
- If you’re in no position to be in quarantine, you must wear a mask around others for 10 days.
- If possible, get tested on day 5.
If you are experiencing any symptoms, get tested and stay at home.
