Rapid COVID-19 PCR testing

We are proud to deliver the fastest rt-PCR test results in Chicago.

Fast. Safe. Effective.

At Loop Medical Center, we know how important it is to get quick, accurate PCR testing when you think you may have COVID-19. Unlike most testing centers, we have our own high-throughput laboratory that allows us to deliver same day results, depending on testing volume.

Your health matters

When you’re sick, it’s crucial to get a proper diagnosis – that’s why we do things differently. Local competitors have to send out their tests to independent labs, which take 24-72 hours to yield results. We offer the following oral/nasal swabs, tested in our very own lab:

On-site testing: with our on-site testing, our qualified team will help walk you through sample collection before sending to our lab for fast results

At-home testing: unlike other labs, we’ll send our self-administered nasal swab COVID-19 testing kits directly to your home or to your employee’s home

Off-site testing: for symptom-free individuals/employees who have not been exposed to COVID-19, our self-collection testing is available

COVID-19 Antigen Point-of-Care Testing (nasal swab): if you believe you may have had COVID-19, our antigen testing provides results in 15-20 minutes for asymptomatic individuals, students, or employees

Same-day COVID-19 IgG Antibody Testing (blood/serology): antibody testing is available for those who believe they’ve previously had COVID-19 but do not have symptoms. This test checks for antibodies that may have developed after exposure to the virus. While other labs provide results in 2-4 days, ours are available same-day, within an hour or less.

Our laboratory CLIA number: 14D2189187

Our laboratory COLA Accreditation number: ID 30506

Overview of Testing for Covid-19:

We offer sample collection via nose, cheek (buccal), or spit (saliva). All tests are NAAT rt-PCR tests processed onsite within our CLIA / COLA certified laboratory.

The highest level of evidence for test sensitivity, specificity and accuracy will always be via Nasopharyngeal swab. This test can be very uncomfortable, therefore CDC released it as a surrogate: a self-administered Anterior Nasal test now widely performed throughout the world. This test extrapolates similar sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy as the uncomfortable and the dreaded “tickle your brain” Nasopharyngeal swab.

Doctors, nurses, and medical assistants at Loop Medical Center will always perform Anterior Nasal Swab as a surrogate of Nasopharyngeal swab. If you require a buccal or saliva test, please request this at the time of your appointment.

Loop Medical Center continuously updates its practice based on Centers for Disease Control (CDC) testing standards. Please refer to the Overview of Testing for SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) for details.

Types of rt-PCR tests we offer:

By default, rt-PCR Anterior Nasal swab is a self administered test.
rt-PCR Nasopharyngeal swab is by request, please ask on site.
rt-PCR Saliva is by request, please ask on site.
rt-PCR Buccal swab is by request, please ask on site.
